    National Board of Revenue (NBR)

    VAT registration or turnover-tax enlistment depending on turnover and activity.

    Required once turnover crosses the threshold, or for certain activities and tenders.

    Fire Service & Civil Defence

    Fire safety licence for commercial and industrial premises.

    Depends on premises type, size and storage.

  • Factory / Establishment License

    Department of Inspection for Factories & Establishments (DIFE)

    Licence for factories and certain establishments employing workers.

    Applies to establishments above certain worker thresholds.

  • Signboard / Advertisement Permission

    Dhaka North / South City Corporation

    Permission and tax for business signage.

    Required if you display external signage.
